Reserve a full share in our next herdshare opening for organic, farm-fresh raw milk in reusable glass bottles. Spots are limited to match our cows’ expected production.

What You’re Reserving

This buy-in secures your membership in our second round of the Sundance Hill Farm herdshare. We’re bringing our second milk cow into the dairy string early next year, which allows a small number of new members. Your support helps cover real costs—organic hay and feed, pasture care, and daily milking—so we can keep quality high and the herd healthy. Thank you!

Refundable deposit: Your buy-in is refundable if you ever choose to leave the herdshare with 30 days notice.

Meet the Girls

  • Milady — Registered Jersey, disease tested (negative for TB, Brucellosis, BLV, BVD, Johne’s), A2/A2, tame and halter-broke with great hand-milking teats. She came from a small, well-loved Jersey herd near Dallas and was originally born on an Amish dairy.
  • Fancy — Milady’s first calf, now trained, bred, and tested to the same standards. We’re thrilled to welcome her home as our second milk cow and Milady’s pasture companion.

How the Herdshare Works

  1. Buy-in (this product): Reserves your share for the 2026 opening.
  2. Membership contract: We’ll email your herdshare agreement and onboarding details.
  3. Monthly boarding fee: When it’s time, you’ll subscribe at $65/month per full share (one (1) gallon per week billed monthly; ≈ $15/gal annualized). Adjustments for ½ or 1.5 shares are available.
  4. Pickup: Fresh milk is bottled in sanitized, reusable glass (½-gallon bottles). Return your clean empties at pickup so we can reuse for your next weeks milk.
What Is a Herdshare?

In a herdshare, you don’t purchase milk from the farmer. Instead, you purchase a share of the herd and pay a monthly boarding fee for our care and milking services. As a member, you receive the milk from your share. This model aligns responsibilities and helps protect both farmer and member where raw-milk laws are complex.

Our Standards & Care

  • Pasture and organic hay; minimal organic/Non-GMO grain as needed to support lactation.
  • No antibiotics unless medically necessary; natural protocols first. Milk withheld until any substance is fully cleared.
  • Clean-in, clean-out practices: iodine teat dip before milking; milk is filtered and flash-cooled immediately.
  • Small, family-run scale (target ≤ 4 cows) with member visitation days and optional hands-on experiences.
Pricing Snapshot
  • Buy-in: $350 (refundable if you leave the herdshare). Helps fund cows, vet care, pasture improvements, equipment.
  • Monthly boarding fee: $65/month for 1 gallon/week. Other share sizes available.
  • Bottles: Reusable glass; return clean empties at pickup for reuse.
Pickup & Future Farm Stand

We’ll assign a convenient weekly pickup day so milk is fresh within a couple days of milking. As we grow, we plan a self-serve farm stand with member access codes for dairy and seasonal add-ons (eggs, sourdough, and more) on the honor system.

Benefits of Raw Milk & Note

Many people report improved digestion with raw milk due to natural enzymes and probiotics, and some research associates raw-dairy consumption with fewer respiratory infections and lower rates of asthma/allergies. We encourage you to do your own research. We are not medical professionals and this information is not medical advice.
